What the Specs Mean

• Data Included: How much data is included in your rental, please note that due to reduced rental volume during the off-season we have data caps on shorter rentals during October 1st to April 31st. If you have specific requirements please reach out to us!
• Maximum Speeds: Maximum rated speed as provided by Starlink*
• Expected Speeds: The usual observed speeds in a good environment*
• WiFi Range: optimal range is where you will generally get good speeds; at the maximum distance you may experience decreased quality
• Power Draw: Average power draw of the unit without snow melt on
• Snow Melt: An onboard heater that can turn on to melt snow building up on the dish
• Waterproof: Parts of the system may be waterproof and will be detailed

What is Included with Your Rental

• Starlink Mini Dish: All-in-one satellite dish with built in WiFi router
• Power Cable: 15m power cable with waterproof ends
• AC Adapter: 120V AC power adapter to power the unit from the wall or a power station
• DC Adapter: 12V DC power adapter to power the unit from a car's 12V outlet or a power station; the more power efficient option
• Carry Case: Protective carry case to store the dish and accessories
• Pole Mount: Starlink Mini's standard mount adapter to mount it to a pole for better or semi-permanent placement
• Optional - Car Mounts: Optional mounts are available to mount to a car's dash or sunroof; internal mounting only

Starlink is a satellite internet service developed by SpaceX. Instead of relying on cell towers or ground cables, it uses a constellation of over 10,000 low‑Earth orbit satellites to deliver high‑speed internet almost anywhere on the planet. For outdoor adventures, campers, off-roaders, boondockers, remote workers, and residents of remote areas, Starlink provides high-speed reliable connectivity where traditional networks don’t reach.

What Starlink Means for You:

• Road trips, off-roading: Internet in the car - wifi calls, Google Maps, messaging, Netflix, Youtube, and more to keep you safe and entertained on the road.
• Camping: Weather, games, movies, music, TV shows, messaging, emails, photos. Stay updated, stay entertained, stay in touch, stay connected. The outdoors are great for a break, but sometimes you just need the internet.

• Does it work anywhere? Yes-almost. Just ensure a clear view of the sky (no heavy tree cover or tall buildings). Surrounding obstructions like trees, cliffs, buildings will block contact with the satellites and may cause intermittent outages. The more obstruction the less reliable the connection, Starlink Minis prefer an unobstructed 110-degree cone
• How much power does it use? About 30 W on average; perfect with our portable power solutions! Power may max out at 60W when melting snow.
• What speeds should I expect? Typically 100-150 Mbps download with stable latency suitable for video calls and streaming.
• How many devices can connect? The built‑in WiFi router supports multiple devices (laptops, phones, tablets).
• How long is setup? Usually 5–10 minutes: power it on, point it at clear sky (ideally northwards), connect to WiFi.
• Can I use it while moving? It’s designed for stationary use; performance while in motion isn’t guaranteed. However, we along with our customers have had good experiences with it in moving vehicles.

• Do you offer bundles? Yes—pair with EcoFlow or Bluetti power stations and optional solar panels for extended runtime.
• Does weather affect performance? Light rain is usually fine; heavy snow or dense foliage can reduce signal quality.
• Can I run it from a vehicle? Yes—use our 12 V DC adapters or an inverter; we’ll advise the safest option for your rig.
• Where do you deliver? Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and Sea‑to‑Sky with flexible pickup and delivery options.
• What deposit/ID is required? Standard rental ID check plus a refundable deposit at pickup or delivery.
